Discover the Story Behind Barndo Bungalows

Hello! We are Scott & Becky Reed and are excited to introduce Barndo Bungalows to you! What was once a vet clinic with exam rooms, horse stalls and a hay loft is now a luxurious boutique hotel with 9 adorable Bungalows (available for individual or group bookings) plus The Main Barndo (available only for group bookings as part of the The Main Barndo Group Package) and the place that we call home!

With over 50 years of combined real estate and construction experience, we have been through the highs, the lows and everything in between in this industry! We have taken on many projects and ventures over the years ranging from new spec-home construction to literally picking up and moving whole houses and/or renovating burned-out, neglected or dysfunctional homes! We are proud of the reputation we have built for creating high-quality, attractive products that the market desires and rewards.

One of our favorite projects was the creation of a guest studio for our adult children that we also rented out to guests via AirBnB during their absence. Creating and offering a clean and enjoyable space for many rounds of folks to enjoy gave us a great sense of pride and a unique emotion compared to just selling a finished product to one party then starting over. We were now hosting and sharing versus just building and selling and we loved it!

Another one of our favorite things is our Bi-annual Family Reunion here in Granbury, Texas. After entering retirement, my Mom and Kevin (Grammie & Grampie) declared their desire to bring all branches of our family together at least every other year to share stories and reconnect! They generously arranged to fly everyone into town and put them up in local Hotels on their dime! On all of these occasions we have struggled to find the perfect place to stay that could house all of us, give everyone some semblance of privacy at night and most importantly offered areas to congregate, hang out, play cards, watch a game or just visit free from interruptions from others. After the final drunken interruption at our last reunion stay, we made it our personal goal to find a property where we could create a safe and desirable gathering place that would satisfy all of our wants and needs for such an event, and also be our Home so we could host it!

Combining all of the above desires and goals set us out on a mission to find beautiful acreage in either Granbury or Weatherford Texas where we could bring this vision to life. With a little nudge from Grammie and Grampie towards this property, months of meticulous planning, and over a year of arduous labor and construction we are now open for business and doing what we love in our creation... a Deluxe Barndominium Hotel with modern farmhouse vibes on beautiful acreage perfectly located between Granbury & Weatherford Texas!
